This week’s episode of Fullmetal Alchemist aired and boy was it a doozy! I wasn’t expecting much from this series after the first two episodes left so many questions unanswered, but thankfully the episode didn’t disappoint.
We finally get our hands on Edward’s backstory and it is quite interesting. We learn a lot more about his past and what led him to become an alchemist in the first place. We also get a great insight into Alphonse’s condition which I was curious about. Unfortunately, the rest of the story isn’t as good as I thought it would be.
The fight scene at the beginning of the episode was awesome, but unfortunately it was quickly followed by a very predictable reveal about who killed Alphonse and why. It felt like there were too many things that were revealed too quickly for me to really care about what happened next.
