In the latest episode of Fullmetal Alchemist, “The Sacred Stones,” Edward and Alphonse journey to a mysterious location in order to find the Philosopher’s Stone. While on their travels, they are constantly pursued by a team of assassins led by the ruthless Vritra. The brothers must use their extreme alchemy skills to outsmart the enemy and save their loved ones from certain death.
Despite being a bit of an acquired taste, I thought this episode was quite good. The main story line was interesting and well-paced, while also giving enough new information to keep me interested in what was happening. The dubbing was generally very good, providing a clear understanding of what was happening on-screen and making the characters sound more human than before. I did have some trouble with some of the dialogue at times, but overall it was a decent job.
